ACCESS ALL ABILITIES
The Access for All Abilities Program has supported and developed inclusive sport and recreation opportunities for people with a disability throughout Victoria for over 10 years.
Access for All Abilities (AAA) is a Victorian Government initiative coordinated by Sport and Recreation Victoria.
The program funds organisations to work at a community level to develop inclusive sport and recreation opportunities for people of all abilities.
Western Eagles FC are working in partnership with the program to promote greater levels of inclusiveness, liveability, improved health outcomes and a stronger sense of belonging in local communities.
The current program at Western Eagles is open to children aged 8-15, who have a disability. The training is provided in an inclusive format, running alongside the Juniors’ sessions, with support being provided for players to participate to the best of their ability. We aim to create an inclusive and holistic training environment, where players can develop a wide variety of soccer skills, as well as other life skills like teamwork, communication and independence.
